Do you need a little help with chores inside or outside your home?

We maintain a registry of Brokered Helpers by reference only.

HOME HELP PROGRAM

  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Light meal preparation
  • Grocery shopping

Short term assistance is also available to help you get back on track after an illness or hospital stay.

FRIENDLY VISITING

Do you spend a lot of time alone?

Our Friendly Visiting Volunteers are great company for either a phone call or a weekly visit. Knowing someone cares enough to visit provides security in many ways.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT PROGRAM

Have you had recent surgery or illness requiring short term use of medical equipment?

Our short term Medical Equipment Programs assists clients requiring medical devices to help alleviate the pressures that come along with illness or injury. These devices are available for a fee of $25.00  for a period of 3 months (or longer upon approval).

Items we may have available include:

  • Wheelchairs
  • Walkers
  • Bath seats and benches
  • Commodes and toilet seats
  • Crutches and Canes
  • Bed rails
  • Other durable medical equipment

If you need medical equipment for a short time (usually less than six months) we may be able to help. Medical Equipment is available from the following offices:

  • Apsley
  • Buckhorn
  • Chemung
  • Havelock
  • Lakefield
  • Millbrook
