Whether you are walking or running, healthy feet are the foundation for maintaining your independence.
Foot problems can mean the difference between needing institutional care and being able to live at home; our feet are vital to health and mobility.
Our Foot Care Clinics
We are committed to our part in limiting the spread of the COVID - 19. Our intention is to limit group settings for the safety of the most vulnerable. The Premier announced that the province will move into Lockdown on Dec 26 at 12:01 am for 28 days. As an essential service, we will remain open and active, with the exception of the following in-person Health and Wellness programs: Blood Pressure, Foot Clinics, In-person (indoor) Falls Prevention and Exercise classes, and Social Drop-In.
Although we are able to offer some online exercise classes by Zoom, our Foot Care Clinics are suspended at this time until further notice.
Currently, clinics are operating in Peterborough and Norwood.
Our trained volunteers provide basic skincare and toe-nail trimming to promote and maintain comfort and mobility. Those whose feet require more attention may be referred to their physician or podiatrist.
An appointment must be scheduled.
24 hours notice is required for cancellations or the full fee will be billed to the client.
The client will receive a reminder call 2-3 days prior to each appointment.
Clients are asked to wash and soak feet for 10 minutes in the evening before the appointment. A list of medications should be brought to the first appointment.
Clinics operate under strict COVID awareness health and safety protocols.
No clinics are held in July and August.
