In conjunction with the Dalliday family, Community Care is excited to launch the 2nd Annual Gary Dalliday Memorial Caring For Our Communities Golf Tournament.
Gary, who was affectionately known as ‘The Diller’, played for the Petes in the 1960-61 season. In 1976, he began a 30+ year career delivering sportscasts on CHEX-TV, retiring in 2009. He always focused on local sports, and had been a champion of the Peterborough and area sport scene for decades. Gary is a member of the Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame and Peterborough Pathway of Fame.
In addition to his role at CHEX, Gary served as the radio voice of the Petes alongside his son, Pete, for 15 years. Among his many charitable efforts in the Peterborough area, Gary served as a volunteer with Community Care Peterborough delivering Meals on Wheels to seniors and adults with disabilities.
