For the past 33 years, Community Care has encouraged children from grade 2 through grade 6 to recognize a Grandparent or a special older person in their life, as "Grandparent of the Year" and thanks to Title Sponsor - Nexicom and Media Sponsor - YourTV, this tradition continued in 2020, in a new way.
Nexicom's sponsorship allowed us to purchase prizes for the top 6 entries and YourTV has been working with us to prepare the video presentation of our virtual Grandparent of the Year awards and will be broadcasting the results.
Community Care received 60 nominations from students from grades 2 to 6 for area grandparents or a special older person in the child’s life.
