Meals on Wheels volunteers and Shorelines staff – Jenn Hill and Seija Melnyk dropped off a nice surprise today on behalf of Great Canadian Gaming Corporation and the PROUD committee at Shoreline! Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs staff have completed 40 hours of volunteer work with Meals on Wheels!! This is the second donation that recognizes the hours of volunteer work completed by this wonderful group of people. Sarah-Loraine Casselman completed 40 hours of volunteer hours with Meals on Wheels earlier this year and presented Community are Peterborough with a cheque in April. All of this started in September of 2017 when Community Care Peterborough Meals on Wheels was chosen as the PROUD day of Caring charity. In one day this group collectively completed 40 hours of volunteer time. Since that day Sarah, Jenn, Seija and the Shorelines Slots team have continued to spend their valuable time volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
