Grandparent of the Year nominations came flowing in to our office on Hunter Street today! Don't have an offical count but we are in the range of 200 plus entries.
Now the judging will commence and on May 28th the winners will be announced.
On June 6th at Princess Gardens awards and prizes will be presented at 3:45 pm. Each winning story will be read to their special older person in their lives. It is a great way to end a Wednesday afternoon.
Our intergenerational program adds a very rewarding component to our agency, recognizing the mutual benefits which arise when seniors and youth spend time together. The Grandparent of the Year Award is definitely one of our highlights! Stay tuned for the winners!
