As I mentioned in an email a few weeks ago this year's fundraiser will take place on Saturday, April 14th which is a bit earlier than usual due to my involvement in Dinner Theatre. I also told you I'd undergone some rigorous training in Europe in preparation for this year's event. Although it was challenging at times ( see photos) it was well worth the effort. Upon returning I did take a few steps backward but lately have regained my peak level of conditioning due mainly to the effort I exert in sitting in my sugar shack watching sap boil. The season thus far has been quite good as I have produced my season average of maple syrup and with two weeks to go and with Mother Nature's cooperation hope to produce a bit more.
The response from sponsors to date has been great, with $1650 already pledged. It's not too late to become a sponsor. Your donation may be left at our local office, mailed to me at Box 105, Buckhorn, ON, K0L 1J0 or given to me directly.
